How do I mail this? (USPS)?

Hello! I have a package I would like to send, but I’m not too sure how to handle it.
- It’s a kendo sword and a climbing stick (the sword is bamboo and the stick is basically a piece of wood dowel). They’re about 60 inches long and 7 inches around (together but without bubble wrap). It’s roughly 4 pounds. Can I send this through the mail?

- I couldn’t find a box long enough, so I was hoping to send it in the same plastic mail bag it came in (They were sent to me from Japan in this bag). The bag is a strong plastic that Japan Post uses to ship skis in. Will the bag be okay?
- I was looking online, and I’m thinking my package is non-machinable and balloon price. But, I can’t figure out how they calculate the balloon price.

Question about USPS?

I ordered some large flat rate boxes from the USPS online store, and its been a week and the order is still “in progress” meaning they haven’t even shipped yet. I need to send something out by this Saturday in one of those boxes. Should they be available at my local post office? Like, I can just drive down and pick one up?

What can you do about the post office losing a letter that you sent?

Obviously I should complain, but instead of just complaining to the USPS (who I already contacted, and who didn’t really care) is there another agency that can be contacted?
Basically I’m out $9 for a letter I sent to the UK because the post office lost it.
Can something like the Better business bureau intervene, or is this more or less a lost cause?

i was reading on the usps website and i can’t find mention of them refunding the actual shipping fees. it would only make sense that they do but i wanted to make sure.

I dropped it at the post office on October 17, and it has been 6 days since then. I periodically check the tracking infro on my PayPal account and it keeps on saying that “Electronic Shipping Info Received.” So what’s the verdict on this?

I passed my test for Post Office, anyone know how long I might have to wait to get placed?

I scored an 80. I know it’s probably different everywhere in the country, but I was just wondering if anyone works for the USPS could tell me how long it took to get placed after they passed the test. I’m sort of getting anxious.
