Is it illegal to use pictures you find on the web on your personal website?

Hi,

I was wondering if it is illegal to use pictures and icons you find on the internet on personal website.

For example, if I create a blog about make up and I want to post pictures of eyeliner products from company such as Mac, maybelline, covergirl that I found on google.

Will that be illegal? Or should I Jakethe picture of the product myself and paste it on my own blog?

I want to redecorate my room and save money, so I’m doing everything myself. Help?

Okay, so I finally got my mom to agree to let me re-do my room. I already decided I want yellow walls. She won’t buy a duvet cover for me, so I decided to make one myself. I’m really good at sewing, and I plan on making it reversible. Only problem is I don’t know what patterns or colors to use. It’s much easier shopping for a duvet than actually making one.

Also, I have a HUGE headboard, with a shelf behind the actual bed, mirrors, and two storage cabinets. If I can persuade my mom to let me get rid of it, I hope to make one of those fabric headboards that I could post pictures and things on. Its a queen sized bed, so how do I make one really cheap?

I’m 16 by the way. [17 in a month or so.] I have wood floors, and an oak dresser. I want the duvet to be colorful and to match the yellow walls. Thanks!

Is it possible to find the source of a photo uploaded through Photobucket?

The reason is, a certain girl keeps posting pictures of all her pretty friends and boyfriends, but no 2 people appear in the same picture. She claims to be pregnant and will probably post pictures of her “newborn”- How do you know if a picture is stolen?

Is it illegal to post information on fake employees on a business website?

Say someone wanted to give the appearance that their business was bigger than one or two people. Would it be illegal to post pictures (assuming those images are self-taken or public domain) and brief blurbs on a business website about non-existent employees? The “employees” would be entirely fictional, except for the pictures, of course.
